The Way of the Sword
The Way of the Stick
Hyoyo Niten Ichi Ryu
At Ojika Dojo we study traditional and modern Japanese Sword Arts in North East England. We train in a range of Arts; Kendo is fast, noisy and active; Iaido, Jodo and Kenjutsu are less cardio-intensive, but train the mind and body just as intensely. Most people do one or two, it's more than enough study for one life!
All sessions are lead by qualified, DBS (CRB) checked coaches in a friendly but committed atmosphere. Enquiries are always welcome via email or Facebook.
Ojika is affiliated to the British Kendo Association, the governing body for Kendo, Iaido and Jodo in the UK. Full members are entitled to attend seminars, compete and grade, and are insured against personal injury. BKA grades are registered with the European Kendo Federation and Zen Nippon Kendo Renmei (All Japan Kendo Federation), and are internationally recognised by any affiliated nation and dojo. Members are also entitled to attend seminars around the UK and abroad.
